Hey I'm planning on buying a 07 freightliner Columbia and was wondering what would be a good company to lease onto in Northeast or Central Pennsylvania? I have 1 year and 5 months OTR experience. Thanks in advance
Wanna be O/O where to lease on too to start up

Start with learning on how to run a business and then how to buy a truck and then start planning on what path to go. You are going backwards, getting the truck first is rather pointless until you've talk to others on how to run the business.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -

Figure out how you will earn more for your labor first before you buy the tools needed to do so.
Or you could buy a truck and drive around the country burning diesel for a few years before you realize you started a company and found a real sucker of a driver who just sold his labor for zero.spyder7723 and Ruthless Thank this. -
Man you got answers to questions you didn't even ask about. It reminded me of a girl I dated she was always talking but never said anything.Dont know much about PA.know duie Pyle and triple crown hires O/O dont know much about them tho.Dont understand a couple of the replies you got telling you to figure out what to do before you bought the truck looks like that's what your doing.OOwannaBE and Bksanyangr9 Thank this.

Doing what kind of work? Leasing to a company or setting up your own MC? Either way the truck is used, so plan on having money set aside for repairs. As far as companies, there is lots of petroleum work and heavy haul construction up here.

OP said he was planning on buying, he has not bought a truck.
He is shopping for a place to lease the truck on.
Best to read the post before commenting, we all know having you own MC number is the only way to make money, but that is not the question, old trucks break down, but that was not the question.OP may know more about running a business than most people, just a simple question about companies in PA.StrokerTSi, swaggerjacker and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Check out West Motor Freight, Boyertown, Pa.
Hermann Transportation, Dayton, NJ -
What about the people you work for now
Do they take contractors. How are their pay rates, you know their system. Would be easy transition then -
The people I work for now would violate me every chance they get. And they only run throughout the northeast nothing south of Richmond nothing west of Chicago/Indianapolis
