You can't be a Beacon if your lights burned out.

Here we go. I picked this load up Tuesday morning and delivered today at 2 p.m. 816 miles from Illinois to Georgia. I had two and a half days to get it here. My next load for tomorrow which is Friday is from Georgia back to Illinois 854 miles and it does not deliver until 10 a.m. Monday morning. So I have all day Friday all day Saturday and all day Sunday to drive 854 miles. Now I can of course get there Saturday evening and drop and hook And I probably will. But it will make no difference because I will still be sitting until Monday morning if I'm lucky. Welcome to the company with no weekend dispatch!!!

    Lonesome Thanks this.

This is the problem with everyone spreading hearsay in these forums... Double J doesn't have any dispatchers. It's a power only company that leases trucks to different carriers.

Next time home, clean all your junk out of the truck then tell them it isn't running right. At the yard, walk in with your keys and tell them that unless you are pre-tripped for the weekends you are taking your license down the road to Big G. It worked for Vince and Ralph. Be prepared to toss the keys on the desk and ride a couple miles down the road.

If they like your work, you will be stopped before you get to the parking lot. If not, Big G is a better deal anyways.
