In a region where the locals aren't particularly accustomed to winter driving, my advice is to be somewhere else!

You mean like Alabama?I drove thru Huntsville and stopped at a local diner it was snowing basically flurries and listening to the ppl talk like a full blown blizzard was happening.I jokenly said to one guy you would never last in Iowa what snow you're getting in just a trace in Iowa.fordconvert and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Slow down. But not so slow as to impede traffic.
Keep lots of following distance.
Do NOT drive down the road with your 4 ways flashing. It's annoying and unsafe
Relax and enjoy.back street slider, TequilaSunrise, jammer910Z and 2 others Thank this. -
Snow? Southeast? Just stay home. You all have a hard enough time with just rain. Just sayin'.
KB3MMX, TripleSix and fordconvert Thank this. -
Oh yeah! One of my biggest pet peeves. 4 ways should be used as a warning that you are not going the speed of traffic. If everybody is going slow, what is one trying to say by having them on?back street slider, Lepton1, HalpinUout and 2 others Thank this.

LOL !! It was Huntsville, AL that I had in mind when I posted that. Years ago, they had about 2 inches of wet snow and it was total chaos !

Or sit home throughout the winter.
trucker3205 Thanks this. -
Unfortunately some don't have that luxury. These power plants we haul in to don't shut down for snow
-
1/2 inch and they go crazy, shutting down towns and schools for days. Try that in the NE and you'd be laughed outta town. My school bus was right behind the snowplow in the morning. Get on, we're rolling!!!
