more about Navajo:
i don't know if this is an all-the-time thing or not, but most of the load assignments are expecting delivery before i even get the the message. like, i was in carlisle, pa on tuesday afternon, and i get a ld saying pick up in erie, pa on sunday (two days before i get the load assignment) at 0600, deliver to carthage by tuesday 2000.
can't really commit to a load like that, so i have to be anal and tell them. and they get me new appointment times.
they keep me running, but i've yet to break 2600 miles in one pay period. not sure how i have a chance at that 5cpm bonus since one of the requirements is 10500 miles in a month.
the good thing is that i usually pick up run 10-11 hours, sleep and then repeat. lots of drop & hook, and usually fast docks the rest of the time. this is good compared to my previous employer where we'd dock for 4 hours to run 6-8 hours and half of the times i was in NJ my 11 or 14 died before i could find a place to shut down, leaving me to 'safe haven' about 100 miles into PA.
i like my truck. most trailers are in decent shape. easy to hit their fuel stops without going out of the logical route.
pc miles... oh the bane of the CDL driver. so far about half of the loads are missing about 50 miles of real world driving due to the pc crap.
also, i've yet to go south of I-40. i specifically told my DM that i prefer to run south of I-40 since i've been stuck north of it for so long. 80, 70, 55, 44 it's so old and boring to me.
listing the good and the bad from my perspective. just being honest.steadyJ, Rocknroller4, LoneCowboy and 3 others Thank this. -
have a good flight!
be sure to not let them get off scot-free from paying the recruiting bonus, if you don't drop my name, find another driver and drop his.
also, i know that hotel and the campus both have free wifi, so share your experience in this thread too.Roknric and chi-town joe Thank this. -
Recruiting bonus? Ah...that's a good idea.
I hope to make them pay the five cent bonus... -
