I'm gonna pass on the 386, their warranty program is a nightmare I should not have to wait to get approval for repairs when you're losing money everyday when the truck is down.
milehunter43, Dave_in_AZ, ramblingman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Check out Elkhorn Valley Trucks also. They do mostly 379's with Cats. I got my W9 there.
ramblingman Thanks this. -
If I buy another glider it will probably be from Elkhorn. This Fitzgerald glider I have now has been a complete nightmare trying to get warranty work done. It's been in the shop 24 days now. I ended having the shop do an inframe with genuine Detroit parts. Probably won't see a dime from Fitzgerald. I am so pissed right now.
I personally know of 6 Fitzgerald gliders in this area ( heard of more). One with a factory rebuilt Detroit is the only one going strong with over 800k on it now. The second one has only had to have injectors replaced. Of course Fitzgerald only wanted to replace one at a time. The guy ended replacing the rest of them on his own dime and it finally runs good.
The last four have all needed inframes. Mine and one other was right at 100k miles. I'm not sure on the other two.
Never again... -
They offered me the 386 with a n14 and 18 speed for 138k. Warranty program scared me off. Thanks for honest input @DeagonKennels

Fitzgerald got the contract to build the first 5000 of the new electric Nicola truck, let's see how that works out?
