The rest I don't think so...

Don't really care for the interior. Looks too much like a car IMO.

    120 000$ to 130 000$
    Around that maybe more.
    Depends on the extras.
    Way to much for me.

That is standard on all EU trucks, you will not find dashboards littered with all kind of instruments and switches.

You shouldn't be able to shut off the lane departure or back up alarm systems...... Unsafe !

The retarder will most likely be an intarder (build into the gearbox). This is a small V8 of course, the top of the line is the 730 HP S730.

    Then look at these locomotives:

They look the same don't they? However they are not, these were build by Bombardier, not by Siemens. But they were not build in Canada, they were build in Kassel Germany, by what are in fact the old famous Henschel locomotive factories. You might say these locomotives are NA versions of the very successful European TRAXX locomotives, available as electric and diesel locomotives for passenger trains or freight trains.

The design of the locomotive was determined by aerodynamics and other factors.

It's not just the speed of the truck, but also the weight and the gradients they encounter. In Scandinavian countries the trucks can be very heavy (64 tons, or 141,000 lbs) and there are steep hills.

By the way, since January 1st the maximum weight of a truck on the German autobahns has been raised to 60 tons, or 132,000 lbs. I assume we will see more bigger engines in trucks in the > 700HP class. Wouldn't surprise me if Paccar has a MX16 engine in development.

I agree with you that under normal conditions you shouldn't do that, but there may be conditions where these alarm systems are very annoying, and it is better to switch them off.
