each to his own... and you'll eventually get somewhere... but...
I looked at cre before getting my cdl or going to school... ten minutes of fine print and a calculator told me all I ever wanted to know about england.
best of luck...

I will give you the $500 if you train me but I want 12 cents a mile for three months.
Seriously though I am not worried. If they try and screw me I will walk.
Hopefully I will not need to do that before I have been there for 90 days.
Actually I hope I don't have to walk at all.
I would like to feel things out for the next year or so with one company.
I certainly know I am not going to be making 50k a year with this company.
I do not need to be home every weekend either. Every 4-6 weeks is fine for the first year. With these plans I would think you could make at least 35k a year with any company and even possibly hope for 40k.
But thanks for all you guys discouragements; I am sure they will come in handy. -
it's not discouragement but CRE has about the worse reputation in the country. even worse then swift. the guys are trying to get you to reevaluate your situation.
I'd train you if my truck were running... especially if I only had to pay ya $.12!!
give me $4k to register and put tires on my truck and I'll train ya all you want but there's only one bed so if we sit you get the floor!! lol -

Well I was basically in the same boat, been away and looked at as no experience. Did I take a refresher? No. Did I go with a training Company? Looked into a few, but required me to throw away my VA benefits or Check which ever way you want to say it.
What did I do? I found a small Company and went to work. Were they good companies? Some are not, but some are.
Good Luck.. -
Well I am done with there school part anyways. It is 500 for there refresher course. Would I consider working long term for this company. No way. The school was one week. I can't believe how many babies are here. Over half the normal class has been sent home. People having high blood pressure, popping on drug test, home sick, lying on applications. There is one thing people don't go home for and that is because they can't drive. They are good about working with people that are trying. They hold people over an extra week if they need take them back up to the DMV if needed. They really do work with the students; To much if you ask me. I did not care for the boot camp mentality they use but it isn't my school. I go out with a driver for 3 weeks now. More training. I need it because if I drove for more than 2 hours total in the school I would be surprised. The equipment they use in the school is nice. I am sure when I have 90 days I will be finding another company. Over all I think this company is pretty bad for the drivers but the drivers that I have talked to are not complaining. They are getting lots of miles so they are happy. Most of them I have talked to are lease operators but when I run the numbers I can not see why they are happy. Well regardless guys if you need a refresher course it is an option.
