I was delivering to a subway in walmart not to long ago parked right out front with my flashers on like I do everyweek and the store manager about had a cow saying i had to go through the back door and walmart had policys about this until she figured out I was going to subway. I had to smile thinking about how big of pain in the butt it was dealing with that with the beer company.

Sorry about that very windy and sleety up here tonight winds coming off the lake at probably close to 40mph, just experienced a micro power outage.

At any rate, yes dealing with Wal-Mart and most of the other grocery stores was a giant pain in the rumpus. Everything had to be checked in line item by line item and all the money had to match down to the penny it was just terrible and you stand outside near the back door and you wait for those clowns to let you in and eventually I said this direct-store-delivery blows and I want out and that's exactly what I did I got out of it and never ever looked back.

Now a days it's easy the stuff gets scanned with a scanner as it comes off the truck the scanner has the count and the invoice there is zero argument over anything, nothing is a retail product for resale it's all meant to be cooked and used by the customer it's a totally different ball game and frankly a much better world.

Neither did I when I did beverage, didn't stop me from doing it though! I'd bring it back later and screw them up, if they cried id remind them that "I" was there when I was supposed to be!

All vendors suck ###, take forever in the dock, like they're the only ones delivering . Liquor for sure, 45 minutes if you're lucky. Pepsi and coke, usually ASN so not bad time wise, but always bring in 6-10 pallets like it's the ####ing apocalypse and everyone's buying soda that night so you're trying to get your #### in with all their #### in every isle, and their merchandisers are waiting for the load like hungry dogs always, so they're in the way. Beer, I won't even mention, ####ing 27 invoices and 5 pallies min... prices always off... bread, they'll park in the way and as close to the door as they can , lazy ######## always in a hurry . Store trucks , #### them all. They think the world revolves around them, and it sure does . Put you behind 2 hours, without giving a ####.

lol all of this is true

I'm always brining in 6-10 pallets at Walmart at a time..

One thing I'll never understand is when you're checking in, other vendors will just stand around in your area and stare you down while your working with the receiver...

It only makes me go slower

I don't think I'm special I'm just saying how the day goes. It's all a part of the business, and at the end of the day, the longer you have to wait, the more you make..

It's the same way as a tanker! You see the beer and coke guy and tell them both that they have to move, priceless! Especially if the store is small
