Of many of the buildings in EU cities, the exact age isn't even known. Quite often they are much older then they appear. This is an extreme example where the age was discovered some time ago:

    trier-pfalzel_palast1_rlm-trier.jpg

Guess how old it is, 200 years? 300 years?? No, it was build around 350! Yes it is about 1600 years old. Do you really think we are going to demolish our heritage to allow for longer trucks??

We have companies that were founded before Columbus discovered America.

Got any pictures of the inside? I bet you find is not as impressive as it sounds. Like saying the fold down top bed in a cascadia is the 2nd level.

No one expects you to demolish such things. We just don't understand why you rebuild in the same way after bombing your cities into rubble. Maybe next time you rebuild after turning your country into a bombed or shell you will build the streets a bit wider.

Edit to add: and more to the point of trucking, we don't have the same need for short trucks so why do you insist we should use them anyway?

strange place to place temp gauge and mirror controls, we dont need to think where controls are they are on logical places and dont distract you....also all relevant information are available without need to move yourself to see every gauge (those which are hided behind steering wheel in this case

but this truck have something other trucks in NA dont have, cant explain what but i like it

The gauges are easily seen through the steering wheel. I agree that is a weird place for the mirror, but i bet with in a few days of operating the truck it would be instinctual and require zero thought.

here drivers dont want to cook in cabs because of smell and grease, here driver can easy afford to eat in restaurant , in fact doing something by yourself will cost you same, problem gets when you are traveling to west europe than food become more expensive and less tasteful, i have problem to find decent food for myself anywhere west of Ulm it become too sweet, almost no salt, too mild

breakesaver is primary retarder that is not powerful, but suitable for lower speeds, here retarders get full power at about 25mph, if you spec truck for heavy use in low speeds you can get something like 15mph. 42inch would be too large for cab of this size, that makes no sense it would be too close and you would be not able to see whole picture without moving eyes, but you can find place above doors
many people put there tv with 32inch, know for few of ones with 40inch,

my neighbour had tv placed 60 on cab ceiling, that did not make any sense and he removed it

there is scania in danmark with movie screen that rolls down when truck is parked and projector or at least truck was before in DK maybe sold somewhere else

not possible to fit so large sleeper, at least not in normal cab layout, altrough some people that removed lower bed have it but this is so rare

on scania you can get 2x fridges if you want

I can easily afford to eat in a restaurant, but it's healthier to eat food i prepare myself. The money savings is just a nice side benefit. As for the cooking smells, that makes no sense. You cook in your house don't you?

Your response is kinda funny tho. You are presented with reasons your trucks don't fit our needs and preferences but instead of simply accepting we have different needs, you dismiss ours as unnecessary or trivial.
