    Cat...traction control is worth it.
And the claim it gets you stuck.....bs on that as i can switch it off with one push off a button.

Adaptive cruise.......hate it because mine sucks.
But i know off others who love it.
    Theirs works as it should.
But again.....one button and it is a old skool cruise.

    The hood.....
For checking everything around the engine....much better.
For mayor work on the engine and gearbox.....EU COE.
PITA to lift the cab but once done all is clear and free to work on.
Specially the back part off the engine.

    Conclusion:both have their merits.

    Question for you all.
Why were older conventionals made with a small drivers cab?
And yes i know why.....do you?

Spyder you touched on a mayor difference off viewpoint.
In NA the sleeper and driver cab are viewed as seperate (comes from the time off the old box sleepers) where as in the EU the cab is viewed a complete integral unit.

Again depending on what line off work you do some prefer one way to another.
In my line off work i would not want a anything bigger then a 40 inch sleeper.( hood or COE)
But i do not drive OTR.
So my needs are different then maybe yours.

Unless you were looking at cabovers, all were listed with full cab length.

15 minutes? It would take me a half a day. Plus have to keep the fridge and freezer of an entire day after you set the cab back down? Ya no thanks.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Yes. Different applications require different trucks top satisfy the differences. You and i get along cause you understand this and don't just dismiss it as trivial.

Would you consider it worth it if you were the one paying for it?

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

The button turns the ATC down, not off . And when it has got me stuck , I needed wheel speed to keep moving, computer says no starts killing power and stabbing brakes . Next thing is it over .
