Solicitations are a plaque.

The ones I really cannot stand are those mentally handicapped or the deaf roaming around with the little cards asking for money. I break out the sign language and give them what for because I am also a deaf and handicapped but making a proper living with a 18 wheeler my own way. Not begging money off those too stupid to say no. They would be quite surprised, then they get angry when I speak to them in their own language with some anger of my own.

Lot Lizards are much worse. You will see them crabbing between trailers trying to stay in the dark areas without being caught by any lawman in the area. Usually with a CB in one hand. And not much else for clothing.

When you run into one and they ask you for a date or company, remember to tell them no. (And leave the truckstop. Don't ever go there again.)

The last time I dealt with one was in Memphis, this one would go from truck to truck knocking on doors several times a hour. I ended up leaving Memphis and rolling 60 miles until I found a secluded area and finished the sleep. Cost me a few hours but a small price ot pay considering the decision never to sleep in Memphis again.

Another in Rochester asked if I wanted a good time, I told her that my wife in the tractor probably heard her and she should take off for her own sake. She did. The wife was already pre-taught about that part of trucking and it was not a problem or a threat to our marriage. It would be in the bullpen for Guiness Ale downtown so it was easy for the lizards to come around at night.

 

The ones that have approached me are straight forward wanting to know if you want company.

 

My buddy hit one in Avondale AZ and Ontario CA boy they rocked that truck....

 

You should see the weird ones in China.
One person kneeling on the sidewalk wailing and the partner laying motionless beside him or her. The wailer is saying his friend/relative is dead and he needs money to ship the body home. People actually give money to these clowns.

 

Tennessee is loaded with meth head lot lizards, especially east Tennessee. 60 Minutes even did a segment on it.

 

I had a "deaf" guy come up to me at a Burger King. After I declined to give him money, he turned to walk away and I went up behind him and yelled really loud. The guy almost jumped out of his skin.

Another one came up with one of those cards and was covered in tattoos and piercings. He might have really been deaf, I don't know, but I told him he should have saved all his money instead of doing the "body work".

At least most lot lizards are honest about what they want and why.

 

Only one way to tell for sure, and that's to ask her how much for some sucky sucky. If she puniches you in the face.....it's not a lot lizard.
