    @MJ1657 and @johndeere4020
    Is that what you meant? I figured to try a few at 2' long and see how that works.

    Yeah that's it, mine is 2" diameter when it's full of water laid flat it's closer to 3" that might be 1 1/2" but as long as it fits over your straps it'll work just fine. I slip a piece of wood in mine and then slice through one side of it then you can put it on your straps without having to fish your straps through, seems like it'll stay on if your strap loosens up and it slides down the strap.

    Any recommendations on where to get hose like that?. That size there seems like it would be perfect for sliding over chains to protect paint.

    I got mine from a local volunteer fire dept. They have to change out there hose fairly regularly.

    I picked mine up at a local fire suppression shop. $20 for what you see, it's the used hose they decommission. I called a couple fire halls but no luck, a buddy said he may have some of the wider stuff from a fire truck.

    I believe it's blue. I know it's wrapped in blue plastic. It's a foam sheet style.

    And you guys were/are right. It doesn't take THAT long to tarp once you get a system down. Start to finish was 30 minutes on that load.
