To answer your question - yes.
I had plates stolen a few years back on a truck that was hauling a high value load, the truck was parked in a restricted area and it was not watched, the fence was cut and they took the plate. There was a big investigation that took place and we were told we would have an escort.
BUT the problem was the plate was 'canceled' and I had to get another one, which wasn't an issue but getting it to the driver was.
So I faxed over the paper work, called each state that the truck was going through, explain the situation and they all said - as long as it is registered and the driver has the paper work, it is ok. but they also stressed that it can't be a habit.
A couple months later, I got a call from the investigators saying they caught the girl (yes girl) who stole the plate, it was a simple thing she needed it to move a stolen truck and they returned it to me which I have on the wall of the shop.
As for the company, get another job.

Just spoke with the highway safety and motor vehicles registration department of the state... she told me that if I were to get stop that I would be ticketed.
Appreciate all of the help and feedback, should have just stood my ground from the beginning. As for the company, and previously stated, I will be looking elsewhere and applications are already being submitted.canviskiller Thanks this. -

Tried to get a picture of it at the yard but I can't upload it Old Man... it's the sticker that goes in the corner of your license plate. I don't know what other way to describe it. It comes with theach registration paper... same sticker as the registration on your personal vehicle.

I have to wonder what else they're screwing up.
Getting popped with an expired tractor registration will mean it will stay there until someone produces it, and someone else will have to come get the trailer. -
