Without a dipole, his extension is useless. Better off tossing the extension in the trash and mounting antenna directly to perch at 45° angle

 

That's on him what I've got going works for me....if he's not willing to experiment and try that guess he'll never know.... just because I told you on my behalf I don't need your help that means it just won't ever be hands on----- I do listen to advice it is help....

 

You should take a picture of your antenna setup and how it is attached to your truck and post it here so Craig could get some ideas

 

I sent him pics of it thru private messages..... I'm willing to experiment if I think it will help me. Not so sure he is....

 

No i dont think you did send me your ant set up..Only thing you sent if i remember was the grounds on the door hinges..

Desnt matter his set up..Same mount..Only goes on the correct way or backwards and if its on backwards it can only go straight up..

I put in the applicable info but it keeps comming back asking for a state in my billing info....I dont live in a state,i live in a province and its not listed......Im either a non usa or Puerto Rico..Only two options..I left it as non usa..Every time i do it it shoot me back saying no state..#### it i cant go to chk out till i find a way around it..

You me or rabbi needs to call them and get the answer.... something has always baffled me since the git go on this what happened to/with the original lmr 240 ultra flex mark worked up and sent... dude that's quality coax and he uses the right best amphenol and pl259 connecters... you got a plastic non snap able plastic washer insert on that thing ??? Wait did I just hear a gun #### okay I gotta go now....lol

I got cranky after trying 4 times to get my info in there and go through the entire process to get the mount,27"shaft and a new ext speaker..Only to get denied cause of the info issue..

 

Im well aware of it but im also seeing and hear with that kinda angle its messing with the signal and how its spreading out and that it provides a false reading of swr(yes i know its not overly important)and im not wanting to burn out the radio with reflected signal...
Anyways i ordered the 27 " predator shaft(why im not sure cause i got the 7ft fs ant),cascadia ss mount and another ext speaker from bob's 5 min ago....It just might beat me to dysarts drop off in herman maine..
Ill try the 45 deg angle but i dont know other than range if its helping any..All this ant theory i dont know and how to test for..

Should look into those ferrites to..I did see some flexable magnets that have a glue on back,not sure if they would do anything like ferrites..Noticed them when i went looking for shorter ground straps..
