Redroof is trash anyway. I have a friend who tried to stay at one in Florida. Her mom woke up after getting bit by bed bugs and they saw roaches running around. They packed up and left and had a hell of a time getting their money back. Ended up having to drive all the way home because nothing else was available.

Now that I've thought about it, I remember staying at a lower-end hotel once (Super 8 maybe?) and there was something on the website that you could not reserve a room if you lived within 30 miles of the property. So maybe this type of thing isn't so uncommon for cheaper places. But yeah it's silly, if someone wants to do something sketchy, they're probably willing to drive 30 miles to the next hotel lol

I usually try to stick with Hampton Inn, Marriott, Holiday Inn etc now because of reasons like bedbugs...you get those in your house and they're hell to get rid of...

I left at end of year as an IC after 16 months. I just couldn't get home to Denver unless in Dallas or California.. The house is important. I hooked up with a small O/O company out of Wisconsin. I spent 3 months talking to them and had 2 buddy's there... I did NOT take leaving Schneider lightly.

@freightwipper knows where I am at. I make 2 times what I did as an IC no stress at all. Yes It's 50% reefer but mom and pop stuff no Sysco or HEB crap.

We get 22 cents off at Loves every day every Loves. I also another fuel card that starts with NAS.

I though I would miss the load board. NO. That board sucks up a lot of time.

    I love it.

I could never justify spending a lot of money just to sleep on a bed.
