oh,forgot the other part,the clamp fell down in between the AC pulley and compressor body,so it was making this weird loud screech too.

Had that happen once as well. Bout crapped my pants.

I had it happen a few years back climbing a hill outside of Nashville. At the time didn't keep clamps that big in my truck. Even tried a good ole metal close hanger and vice grips to get by. Ended up calling roadside where I was charged 210 dollars for a generic hose clamp that was only good enough to get me to a TA where I bought a real clamp. I keep 2 of them in my truck now. Lesson learned

If you coat the inside of the hose where it is going to contact the pipe with dish soap it makes the hose slide on easily, and then ends up acting like a mild glue so that the chance of the hose blowing off of the pipe is greatly reduced.
