My company has told me that if I want to get out of my school contract I will have to agree to pay $200 a week to buy out the contract. Is there any way around this or to pay less weekly? They are using the scare tactic of getting us fired from a new job if we don't pay.

Consult a good attorney before you sign anything.
UsualSuspect, Powder Joints and TequilaSunrise Thank this. -
What does contract say? You can get a signature loan somewhere. That should lower payment.
-
Any loan institution, except a payday type place, will get you better terms than $800-$1000 a month.
-
I'm concerned about trying to get a loan because I have absolutely no established credit
-
That company wants their money ASAP.I would talk to them about an affordable payment plan and if they don't agree to it then use a scare tactic on them like I did with my creditors.
-
Scare tactic? You owe the money right? Pay what you owe you got yourself in the predicament right? Nobody forced you to borrow the $ it was a decision you made correct? Stand up and pay what you owe! Scare tactics that's what a irresponsible human would use so I guess if you wanna be that person or be a adult and deal with the bad decisions you made and carry on.UsualSuspect, skootertrashr6, Wargames and 2 others Thank this.

Sometimes
your intentions were there to pay what they want but in my case my poor health took over so my creditors are accepting less a month as long as I pay every mknth and on time.So it's all good for me with schooling unless I had a good reason I wouldn't just up and quit that right there shows irresponsible but we don't know the reason.I think $200.00 a week is very high. But if it was in the contract he must pay it unless he had a good reason for quitting but even then He may have to seek legal help.I imagine this is completely different then my situation.Pnwtrucker Thanks this. -
