0119171326_HDR.jpg I made it home and am now comfortably positioned on the leather recliner.

Made it through the Shasta range no problem. It was dry as a bone from Weed over the Siskiyou pass. Although I understand another snow producing storm is rolling in over that area again tonight.

I took a few pictures, but you really had to be here to take it all in. I mean, there was a lot going on.

Yep, another day of snow. about 3 inches so far. Should be more over the next few days, that may be mixed with some rain. At least the temps have been a few degrees warmer.

One thing about these storms tracking into the western region is they seem to have a lot of water in them. Something that is needed out here.

They were saying 3-5 more inches here but it missed to the south. Fog is the issue right now and I have decided to wait and leave in the early am to make a 1230 unload/reload. It just unbelievable how many trucks are still clogging up everything trying to fuel up. Complete mess.

Oh we definitely need the moisture. What we DON'T need though, is for it to rain up in the watershed right now, and melt the snow!
A lot of this area is prone to flooding.....

Well, in principle, I agree with you. At least wait until all the "gottagorightnowsupertruckers" have cleared the area. Not to sure about waiting and leaving in the early AM though. That sort of depends on what the weather prediction is. Might be better off to go ahead and roll tonight, once the traffic jam has cleared, as long as the roads are open. Who knows what early morning is going to bring....
