Walmart here I come!

The next time I have a similar day I will show you the trips sheets. I started using a scanner app on my phone before I went on LOA to retain copies of all my paperwork. The particular day I spoke of was the exception rather than the rule as it was the highest earnings day I had with the company up to that point. It occurred before I began scanning my trip paperwork, so I only have notes from the day and not the trip sheets.

 

I am afraid the days of gold plated health plans are dying as fast as the good old days of employer pensions. The remaining private section companies who still have such plans, such as some union LTL carriers, will price themselves out of business in the coming years. The future of carriers like Uber Freight and Amazon Freight will dry up more of their customer base. No revenue will equal no ability to provide premium benefits. Sure, there will still be companies like UPS who will have the revenue and market share to provide, but we are talking about one out of 750 people even work for them at all.

Besides the insurance not being free, what do you not like about it? I used it extensively in 2016. For over $200,000 in claims and $30,000 in short term disability paid to me before my long term disability kicked in at a net cost to me of about $7300 for the year is a pretty good trade off. Sure, it was not totally free, but be for real. I could easily handle paying $7300 versus over $200,000.

As for coupons and such, I go beyond just using coupons for medical. I am a "Clark Howard" type when it comes to saving money wherever I can and am always looking for the best deal.

 

Needs two stickers, one for engine, one for APU. If you look closely at the sticker for the engine, it will specify the manufacturer, Detroit, Cummins, etc.

 

I'm going in next week for my road test and was browsing earlier posts, and read someone say that in the backing test that if you don't get out and look it's a automatic fail. What do they mean? After setup you have to get out of your truck and walk around it before backing in?

 

Just walk back and make sure you won't hit anything that you can't see while backing.

 

Been backing over 20 years and never hit anything without getting out. I see what's back there when I make my setup. There's not a need to get out unless your blind side backing. It's actually less safe to get out because while your walking back to your truck someone can walk back there and you won't see them.
