    Hey Guys
Well just got the e-mail that I suppose we all were waiting for the price increase for monthly access to Central's Load Boards. Effective February 1, 2017 the price for carrier access is going from $89.95 with unlimited access to $104.95 per month with unlimited access. Gotta tell you they got a racket going there. Create a site, allow dealers brokers and carriers to post loads and accept loads with no other offers like insurance for payment from brokers, special loads or any other perks. Maybe I got into the wrong business. Oh well guess you gotta pay to play

Well have a good night everyone. Stay Safe

Wow $105 a month for load board. That sounds like the cable company that is losing customers to streaming companies and have to raise rates on their customers to cover overhead.

When your cost goes up, so should your rate, within reason of course. On every posted vehicle I call on, I ask for more money than what they have it posted at. Usually $50 to $100.00 more. We get that extra money more often than not.

Absolutely TRUE. I have negotiated every load from United Road and a couple others. Maybe not $50 or a hundred but enough to make the load worth taking. And more times than not they will up the price.

Fear not, Uber has entered the freight market and has put folks like CH Robinson and many others on notice.
Their claim to fame will be computer automation vs. a phone call eliminating the office staff.

They expect to track available units through QC and match loads so the target right now is the megas running predicted lanes.

    Hmmm

Just my opinion but I doubt Uber for trucking will be around long. And I don't think it will effect our line of work one bit.

I think it's coming, but I also think that we already have Uber for trucking in all but name with modern load boards. I'm not expecting TOO big of an impact.

I also don't know about this autonomous truck thing I keep hearing about on Road Dog Radio. I see so many issues with that
