I recently got laid off and I am considering Maverick TCD, even though most of my experience is flatbed. I am curious what kind of miles their TCD drivers are getting.

I used to be a dispatcher there and I would have guys struggling to get 2200 a week and some guys having no problem getting 2800. I don't consider them to be a big miles kind of carrier. Length of haul is not all that long and most trips are usually pick on day one deliver day 2 or maybe very early day 3. Lots of drop and hook and their pay is pretty darn high. Hard hit areas are Dallas, Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Dundalk, MD, Souderton, PA, Columbus, OH, and these may have changed since I was there but those were some heavy volume areas. They did a fair amount of Tyson as well. I had quite a few drivers making some really good money when I was there.

You will see a lot of 35, 55, 57, 40, and 70. Shouldn't be too bad getting in when you need to. They do a lot of business into and out of Searcy and Russellville. Do a lot of out bound business out batesville too.

I talked to them a couple weeks ago. They aren't offering their training program to Maryland folks at this time, so I assume the volume has gone down in this area.

We had one load that went to MD and it was only several per week at the time. As far as the NE region goes, it was PA and two places in Northern VA.

I'm not sure if their policy is the same but it was2 weeks out and 1 day off per week. I find being out 3 weeks works very well at most places.
