How come you don't work for companies up near you like Alaska Industrial or ch2m up on the slope?

    Their all pretty quiet,
have lots of friends up here, I could haul fuel or get on an Anchorage switch if I really pushed for it I think, ive only been out of work since the 6th. ready for a change of scenery. ( I think)
I spent 13 years running fairbanks to prudhoe, and another 12 running into this gold mine out here in delta, just have a hunch that the economy is going to get a lot better in the states, and feel that there's more opportunity on the horizon down south is all.

10-4! I'm really liking the idea of just jumping into a new western star and heading over to Bruce Oakley and doing some bulker work, sounds like a hoot,
But the wife's not so understanding, she enjoys her job up here, but likes the idea of me working outside so we have a place we can base our travels from in the lower 48. I figure if I send her a grand or so a week, she will be happy. us being empty nesters and all...:)

We were Makin 3500 plus a week hauling Frac sand in Pennsylvania a couple years ago. We had a good contract and you made your own schedule. The owner operators were making a killing.

Been a ND resident for almost 5 years. The entire state of ND is OHV friendly. All of the highways have about 75 feet of recreation area on the side of the roads for ATV/dirt bikes and snowmobiles. You can legally ride an OHV on any road that is posted under 55mph. And you can cross any highway posted above 55. The first time I road my dirt bike through Minot and a sheriff passed the other way and waved was a trip.
