    wondering if anyone knows of a reputable online site to renew your hazmat safety certificate? trying to avoid going to local college for 3 day course

    Have no clue what a HazMat Safety Certificate is. There is the license endorsement, and many companies require some kind of certification that a driver has gone through their own training.

    Becoming Certified
    Training for hazmat certification is done in conjunction with other training requirements for a particular job. OSHA requires its employees to receive the OSHA 10-hour course. These must be taught by a certified OSHA trainer who can also present workers with hazmat certificates for their work files. The DOT requires a driver to complete training and receive a Commercial Driver's License, or CDL. Drivers and other DOT workers must complete extra DOT training to obtain a haznat certification within 90 days of employment. EPA workers must be trained in the various areas of hazmat and have their certificates on file.

    Well I guess I would be exempt then... I went to a 40 hour course taught by OSHA when I was in the military..

    its just a safety certificate some companies like to see when leasing on that proves you can pass a meaningless course other than the endorsement is all

    I have hazmat and never has a company asked for a safety certificate.I spose they were glad im one of the few that still has HM.But hey if you think companies like to see that extra added bonus to your endorsement then by all means get it.

    I Linehaul for a freight Co. We haul Hazmat all the time. Can't say as I have ever taken a course for it. Sat through a couple videos and took a stupid test that any idiot could follow as you were watchin the video.;) Took the test twice.:D JK
