I owned a carpet cleaning business and dealt very briefly with the hotel motel world, that was brutal and got out of that quickly. I did office buildings and restaurants and retail stores. I knew a guy back in 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas who was doing hotel carpet cleaning at $10.00 a room they would camp out all weekend at a hotel and just work there butts off.
I can't stand having to move my GFS truck twice at a stop the thought of moving the carpet cleaning van all around on a job, is almost to much to bare, actually carpet cleaning wasn't always bad it was like anything else, some good some bad, but it's like trucking too, goofy hours and just like an extra board guy at the LTL's some weeks were feast and other weeks were famine.
Cold winters were interesting floods and pipes bursting galore, out in the snow and ice trapsing down hill into someones basement where a pipe burst in the sub zero weather.
Anyhow sorry about all that, I don't think anyone here wants to be in the contract cleaning business...

I often look around for night custodian jobs from time-to-time at schools and other big places that use them. Seems they all seem to be a bit of a day-shift thing now from all the postings I've seen. Or I could always monetize my corny, YT bicycle videos by adding more dramatic effects and storylines to them, ha ha.

Quick update here - I've been accepted in to the program and I start classes in April. I think it's going to feel a bit weird to be back in school... I know I spent a lot of time in the Principal's Office back in the day, thankfully my courses will be 100% online!
Pittstruck, Mike2633 and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
