The cut off time is 3PM. Any trucks picked after that will require a two day process. Quality will give you a hotel discount. As far as fuel, depending on which carrier you lease on too quality will give you 50-100 free gallons of fuel.

 

I wouldn't call it a scam, their running a business just like i'm running a business and this is how they make their money. Like I said before, I don't plan on paying off this truck, I think of it more as a rental similar to Ryder or Penske. I'm just using this to better position myself down the road.

 

I agree. People should really do their homework before signing and me personally I'm not really into finance, I would rather just pay it off completely and be done with it. Coming from USX their wasn't a lot of money to be saved up so this program works for me. I run it like a business.....keep my liabilities low and assets high.

 

I have heard of them but how does it work over there? who picks your loads?

 

Getting a group of potential leasees to pick from a previously unseen group of trucks, and giving them 30 minutes to inspect one, is highly unethical if not illegal. They played games saying the one you wanted wasn't available, only to say it was available when you couldn't find another one. Obviously they're trying to push the garbage out the door first. It just stinks to high heaven.

 

Just to be clear, only the road test is 30 minutes; you can inspect the truck as long as you like and bring someone with you to look at it. I was prepared to leave if I didn't find something I liked. There were also a few people who were going on their 2nd and 3rd day there because they didn't see anything they liked. Don't feel pressured to picked something.....Their bring over different trucks all day long. They also no longer use "Stoops Freightliner" where people use to go to get brand new Freightliners if they didn't find something on quality's yard.

The only trucks they seemed to be pushing hard were those max forces, weekly payments around 350.

Celadon has two pay rates; by the mile or 68% of the invoice. TAKE THE %. My lowest has been a $1.30 and highest $2.50. This is my 4th week on the load board. The heaviest load I have had has been 26k and lowest 11k.
