I think if you kept it on the top bunk with plenty of padding under it (blankets) and left is loosely secured (to keep it from moving around, not tie down strap tight). you might be alright. As long as your GPU is screwed in and you use SSD instead of platter drives vibration wouldn't be that much of an issue...

I keep fresh fruit on my blankets when I'm driving so as not to bruise them during the day, hence why I say to use them as padding. :p

and even though an everyday PSU will handle the power conversion, it's the instability of that power is why I didn't keep mine in the truck.

Your not putting a custom loop in your truck are you? Talk about bad ju-ju with all the bouncing around...

LMAO Nooooooo. I'll take my laptop in the truck. The upgrades for the tower are going to be for at home. I'm going to be moving to a Fractal Define R5 and I'll be running EKWB components for the water system. Right now I have a Corsair R200 which doesn't have the space in the top for a rad and a Corsair H60 sealed loop.

Though if I ever buy my own truck I'd probably be tempted to build the PC INTO the truck and route the water all over the place just for yits and giggles :D

I wasn't going to add anything because I believe that this should be in the electronics section but since you put it in Experienced Trucker's advice, let me say, "Children, put your toys away."

Life in the real world is interesting enough. There are no such things as wizard's, trolls, ogres, or women who like nerds.

If you had a small gaming rig you could do it if you had a stable power source but my rig runs 1200 watts so I couldn't. I have an i7 6950X and I'm running 3 GTX 1080's Founders Edition with an SLI Bridge. I have my Origin Laptop I bring with me that's considered a gaming laptop but I do all the business and gaming on it

The roughness of the ride will destroy it aside from the fact that if you are worried about have the luxuries of home in your truck your focus is not on the task at hand. Games and trucking = fatigued driving. There isnt enough time to game and rest and be safe for those around you on the road. Focus on your job not your play time. No company I know of will allow it. A laptop is ok but your whole setup from home is ridiculous.

nerdy women like nerdy dude's, wizard's, trolls, orges, dragons and more exist in the layer just before the underworld, sometimes they overlap.

Your absolutely right about there not being Wizards or trolls and even ogres (unless you count how many times I've waken up the guy next to me when my reefer starts up in the middle of the night!)

But hate to tell you this but women LOVE nerds, not just like them... :)

As for toys... I'm not even gonna go there and comment other than say even YOU have your "toys". They may be different than ours, but you still have them. So why do we have to put our toys away...

While I have to clean up my room can I go back in time and sit at the kids table and let you "adults" worry about all the "adult" stuff? :p

Not trying to sound smug, since I'm just a steering wheel holder, but your assuming that ever waking moment is spent on the computer... Please don't assume, you know what it means.
As for companies... Why would they care to be honest. As long as you do your job (and task at hand as you say) and you don't do anything crazy to they're equipment most don't care what you bring with you to occupy your time when your on the road.

I've seen guys with 50" tvs in the truck with sat. TV hookups... Is that not just as bad sitting up watching football or something else all night instead of getting a good nights rest? o_O
