On the contrary, while there are external switches that control the fan clutch. The ECM can and does send a signal to also turn the fan clutch on. I believe I have successfully tested all the external switches proplerly, and also looked at all the ECM I/O parameters that can power up the circuit, everything looks in spec. I appreciate all the advice. Hopefully I can catch someone on here with more knowledge of the DDDL platform then me. (Which isnt much) Thanks to all that replied.

Was it working properly and then quit?

I had a guy that recently had that issue but he had a Cat engine. Someone replaced the pressure switch closest to the charge ports and installed the wrong one. They swore up and down it was new and the correct one. I installed the proper one and everything went back to working well.
The reason I was asking about previous history is I have also seen people change out ECMs and one is programmed for Horton and another for Kysor and it would make fan run/not run.

Oxbow, Dino soar and Nextlvl Thank this.

Do you know what parameter in the input/output changes that setting?

No. Sorry. Not right off. Did you change ECM?

A little background.... I bought the truck and immediately it needed a new ecm. While the engine fan sounded like it was running occasionally, I was never personally driving the truck very much. About a month ago, the fan clutch bearing failed, so I replaced with oem new. At the same time I went through the truck and replaced the dash bulbs, that is when I noticed the engine fan light was always on. I then replaced the air solenoid, still on. I then checked all external sensor and switch wiring, still on. I then found and replaced engine fan relay, still on. I have looked @ the truck while hooked up to DDDL and didn't see anything out of spec. But, I am not familiar enough with the software or platform to know where to look to see if it is programmed for a horton hub.

are you saying the fan was not on all the time until you replaced the fan clutch?

No, I am saying I am going to assume it was on the entire time, I just don't think the bonehead driving it noticed, and it didn't come under my radar till I replaced the burnt out "engine fan" warning bulb the same day I installed the new Horton.

    Ok understood.
Then it sounds like you are down to the ecm being programmed wrong.
Where did you get the ecm?
Can they be of any help?

    Nextlvl Thanks this.

I bought it and had it installed at a trustworthy detroit shop that I have a good relationship with. They are trying to help me with it. But it was a year ago, so I don't expect them to take it in without it costing me. (Which might be what I get stuck with) I am just trying to work through it on my own witha little advice from other. *Stepping over a dollar to save a dime! LMFAO
