No doubt about the winds in Wyoming. They can get down right nasty at times. It really dose not matter where you are in the state or what time of year, it's going to be blowing.

A van or some other load that is a solid face to the wind is one thing, when you get derricks and cranes on, the wind whips on them and really move the trailer around.

I ran deadhead pulling a flatbed southbound on I-25 yesterday. I counted ten blow overs between Wheatland and Chugwater in the afternoon.

    Stay safe out there.

Well, my first issue with this truck and it looks major. Coming down a nice little grade in Utah the truck started losing power...I was slowing down with 48k on the deck. Quick gauge check and noticed oil pressure was dropping like the stock market in '08. Popped the 4 ways, knocked her into Georgia Overdrive and hit the shoulder like it was a pit stop. Oil pressure was about 15 psi whend I got it stopped and shut her off. Waiting on a tech/tow now. Hope she ain't blown up.

    More later...

Looks like she spun a rod bearing. Oil and filters full of metal. Tow truck is on the way to hook me up and carry me in.

Dam, I was rockin this week. Guess I'll just have to chill out in Mormonland until Monday when the dealership opens.

    Crap!

Drat, that is a carppy thing to happen.
Any type of warranty coverage on that?

Where are you going to have it towed to?

Well, the owner offered me a new truck last week but I kind of got attached to this old girl and I passed. See what loyalty gets you.

Guess I'll take it now. Coronado glider. 13 speed. Detroit 60. 3.55 rears. Pretty much the same as what I have now, just new.
