Everyone I'm sure will have enough to fill a book and then some.
    I'll start:

    1. If you tug a flat, you'll never have to bump a dock:biggrin_255:
    2. If you tug a flat, you'll never load early in the morning or at night.

Well I would say that bumping docks accounts for 40% of my loads so far and I have loaded at night too, while bumping a dock. :biggrin_25525:
Not that I can't bump a dock and if I could get my loads at 4 Am and beat traffic that would be cool.
But none-the-less, some people had told me some whoppers....no one here on the board though.

Oh, yeah, when you have a load of steel pipe and you are told that the contractor will off-load you in the yard, you get there, and they want you to run down the right-of-way so they can string-out the pipe, one-at-a-time mind you...with no stringing pay as well.

    Good pay......:)
and my favorite....drivers are the most important people in a company :) and because of that, they are respected by the rest of the non hackers in the company. :)

That is as soon as the equipment operator has time to do it. (1) It's while he does his other stuff as well. (2) cause they usual won't stop production just for you cause your not on his payroll.

Id still rather flatbed than pull a box.

My late Uncle Ira used to believe that a good story was better than a true one and he has a lot of disciples to this day, most of them in the trucking industry.
