Highly doubt the citation will go away. Esp in this day and age when it's all about revenues.
However, might not qualify for a cmv violation, and therefore no CSA ding.

Was it by a CHP officer? Because the there officers don't even know the amount. If it is that price pay it now. That's dirt cheap in California

No, this is WSP. I was up on Snoqualmie pass and go too close to the edge of the snow all piled up on the side of the road. My passenger steer tire just touched a trace amount of frozen snow, but it was enough to suck me into the pile left over from the snowplows. Go figure, I've made it through some of the worst weather we've had in years, and this happens.

It's not so much the dollar amount, but if I can avoid this going to my CSA, that would be terrific.

So there was no real accident?
You just got pulled in to a snow bank?
And they wrote a ticket for that?

There was vehicle damage requiring a tow. According to the trooper, they are required to write citations when a driver is considered "at fault".

Yeah only California would write a ticket for that.
No place else would, too bad it didn't happen in Montana or Oregon or even Washington, huh?
