How long ago was it? Some companys may over look it if it been 5 years ago. Some are 10 years ago.But if it happen recent, you may have a hard time getting a otr job.

If you were charged then that's what they will look at. You will be judge preventable and non-preventable once you're working. Every company is different and it's worth a shot if your accident wasn't so bad and there's circumstances that might be in your favor. You'll just have to look.

If the accident was your fault, who are you
    pissed at? :smt102

I noticed that you have 1 year experience.
Whom are, or did, you drive for, and are they viewing your
    accident as detrimental?

No doubt your accident will prevent some doors from opening,
but if you keep knocking I think someone might open one.
    Just DON'T have another accident.
I'm thinkin' that would sink your truckin' career before it leaves port.
ALWAYS drive as though your career depends on it, ----
    mainly because it DOES.

Please keep us posted as to what'cha find out?

    Good luck. :biggrin_25519:

With the economy slowing as it is anything on your recored is going to present some type of issue. Just way to many people that are coming in and simply just not that many jobs.. Not saying that you would not be able to find work, it just may not be with somebody you wanted to work for.
