I little older(46). Thinking about switching careers. Would you recommend getting a physical prior to enrolling in a CDL School?

Romans Motor Freight in Nebraska hires a few new cdl grads.
K&B Transportation hires with 6 mos. experience and has a guaranteed minimum weekly pay which I think is $1125.00 and you can make more, but not less.
Magnum Ltd. hires new cdl grads and their drivers post they make $1500.00 weekly if they hustle.Jeck Thanks this. -
thank you for searching this and your time

Pretty sure they're "no-touch" freight. Companies these days don't want the driver to unload freight; they want the driver to rest. Companies pay a "lumper service" to do the loading/unloading. The cost of the lumper service is figured into the billing and has nothing to do with the drivers pay.Jeck Thanks this.

Also, I smoke a E-Cig. I would like to use it while driving and don't want to violate any policies

I don't know of any company that doesn't allow Ecigs.Jeck Thanks this.

Even if your school doesn't require it, it would be a good idea. Better to find out before you owe the cost of school if you have some condition that keeps you from getting hired. The big surprises are probably blood pressure, sugar in urine, sleep apnea. These can be fixed/controlled so you can drive.Jeck Thanks this.
