Very true, I've found that I also ask right away what their balance is between O/O and Company drivers. As I have found that some companies will cater to company drivers. Last company I was at stated their were balanced on O/O and company. Six weeks in I talked with my driver manager and asked him about the balance. It turns out I was O/O number 9 out of 100 drivers total. ;o(.....they started setting O/O at home on Monday's to keep their drivers moving. We were on percentage of ???? 70% of ####

So I've been researching CRST Malone because a friend pointed it out to me. I have a truck, '97 KW T600, owned so I'm not making any payments. I was thinking of pulling for Malone but from what I see they are flatbed, correct?..I haven't pulled flatbed so I don't know how to chain and tarp, but I'm willing to learn. I've been pulling reefer.
So is it worth paying the $200 rental fee?
Is there a lot of tarping involved? I'm guessing it depends on the load.
Are they running mostly southeast & Midwest like they advertise?
Any help would be helpful. Thanks. -
They tarp nearly everything. Mostly SE to MW but their better paying loads are in the MW. They'll "train" you but it's nowhere near enough to call you trained in my opinion. When I was at orientation, the teacher had me and another guy teaching 1/3rd of the class each for the securement aspects.

So- he paid how much on the truck? Told many they was a failure, then turned his truck in, jumped on another lease deal and now hides from all his trucking buddies.
So all that time away from family was well worth it to give malone lol $$$$$$ in truck payments and a maintenance fund he never got to use.
Tarping most loads for free - the b****ing can go on for ever.
I got a better idea~
I'll just agree with you guys and sign on today.
Woo hooo ~ can't waite to buy them a truck.
This would make a great book,
I took this thead for what it's worth.
Happy recruiting!

Go read again, start from the beginning. -
While he did turn his Malone truck in, he bought his own and leased it to another carrier. If that truck was another lease purchase truck, I failed to see where he said that. It is possible. It is also possible he failed that program, but I haven't seen anywhere in this thread where Playa said anything like that.
If you are indeed referring to him, I find it interesting you and I can read the exact same thing yet see it completely different. That's why eye witness testimony is not very good evidence. Two people seeing the same thing yet each testify to things happening differently. It's each person's perspective.Lonesome Thanks this. -
A failed lease, get over it.JimmyWells Thanks this. -
You have a couple of choices. You can choose to leave the thread or put me on your ignore list.
What I would much rather you do is, if you have unequivocal evidence of your claims, submit them. Show me where you are 100% correct about the things you are saying and I will admit I'm wrong and bow out of the thread myself. -
