You don't have to worry about that. I stay in the right only. I get paid to go 55. That's what my company wants from us. I'm not setting myself up to be a hazard with people doing 70.

55 when everyone else is running 70 is a hazard.

That is quite a contract. Beran Concrete is a good sized company, I believe with 200+ employees. They are on the east side of town.
I work on the south side of town, live on the west central side of town.
Wichita KS is approximately 150 square miles, approximately 400,000 people.

    Hey mje,

Yes that is the place....If you see me parked out front stop and say hello.
They seem like really nice people and I enjoy delivering to them.
They are one of the few places that hook up to my tank and do all the work....lol!

Is there any truck stops in Wichita? I about ran out of fuel my first trip out there.
I learned to fill up around KC on the way now...lol!

    Hi EZMoney,

As shown below, there is a truck stop on the West Street exit off of I-235 north or south in Wichita KS. They do have overnight parking as well.
If you are on Highway 54, (also known as Kellogg), in Wichita, there are posted signs that direct you to both I-235 and I-135. Make sure that you take the I-235 entrance or exit, NOT the I-135 entrance or exit.

    NOTE:
Both trucks and cars go in and out of there all day and all night. However, there is limited parking in the back of the gas station.
I have seen truck drivers get a spot the 1st. time around.
I have also seen truck drivers struggle to get a spot, due to sudden influxes of trucks, especially after 5:00 P.M..
I do hope that this is of some help to you.

I'd rather take a job with consistent miles on a consistent route with consistent equipment than run a faster truck on the wide open road. Different strokes I guess.

Driving the same routes all the time,sucks..IMHO.
I just like driving out west, where speed limits are 70-80.
Sucks to be stuck at 62.
