I got towed 4 times in two months and limped in to the shop probably another 2 or 3 times during that period all for the same problem. Each time they said they nailed the problem. Nope. Schneider gave up and had me turn the truck in for good. They must've sold it because it hasn't showed up in Kenton since. I was happy to be in a new truck but Freightliner forgot to install a clutch pedal in it.
I've only dealt with the shops at Marion Intermodal, Carlisle, West Memphis, Indy, and the Keasbey bulk yard. So far my worst experiences in dealing with the techs and longevity of repair were in Carlisle and my best was in Keasbey. Not that, that means anything but just saying. -
Random question here but I've been noticing that some of the newish trailers don't have placard holders on the drivers side. The 156 I'm hooked up to now has two each on the front, rear, and pass side and zero on the driver's and there is no indication that any were ever mounted to begin with. The trailer is in great condition considering its been around a while so it doesn't appear that any wall panels were replaced and they forgot to put the holders on. Plus I've picked up a few 160's with the same deal. Anybody have a guess as to why?
