Walmart here I come!

I asked 2 ops manager this morning. Their response was try to plan ahead if possible to avoid, but sometimes circumstances are beyond your control, or stuff happens. Said go ahead and put on company card. Safety and compliance first. Guess it goes by DC or region.

 

That would make sense. When running in AZ, there is no problem with finding a store to sleep at. When running in CA, you can go for very long distances with no stores to sleep at (due to city regs). So, I could see them being more lenient when in CA, as I doubt they would want you to shut down hours early due to a lack of places to sleep.

 

We all work for the same company but every dc seems to have different policies lol.

 

question. if you applied at two dc's. with the first app 2 months old and the second a week old. with the second app turns out to be closer drive then the first app. what do you do if you get a phone interview for the first but you really want the second. do you go with the first app or wait for the second one to maybe call

 

Get in any way you can and if it is not your first choice, transfer after a year.

There is no guarantee that the one you want most will call. Why would you give up a known for an unknown??

 

right now they r both a unknown but the second app was put in pretty quickly when it posted

 

Go with the one that calls.

 

i just wish i would get a phone interview or something. im 2 months and counting on my first app. when does wm start to pull names. do they pull posting off the web then start calling or else.

 

I never got a call for 2 months and it was a total of 5 months to the day before I started orientation.

 

thks. if i was in a better situation money wise i would fill better waiting. my home life is talking a bad beating. just trying to hang in there.
