I live in South Ga and would welcome any suggestions other than the "usual suspects".
And I do enjoy the industry, it has been very good to me. That said, I won't work for BS, and I'm tired of everybody changing the rules in the middle of the game.
Look, here's the deal, I pick up your stuff and I deliver your stuff where you tell me to and you pay me. Simple as that. You find me someone like that in south GA, I'll appreciate it. Oh, and I go home when I say I go home.

    Loke and SingingWolf Thank this.

A few weeks ago I was asked to reposition a trailer before home time inside of my home market. 50 miles oor. I said no. ICR threw said contract in my face. I calmly explained I fully understood the contract but wasn't moving a empty inside of my own market for 25$. She put me on hold came back and asked if I would reconsider because the shipper was in desperate need of empties. I gave in. Take one for the team right? Get to shipper, they don't want the empty but point to a company truck outside the gate and tell me he has been here 2 hours waiting for one.
    Example 1.

the kind of cheap ###, low stuff the box people have started playing. I would have taken it home and told them the shipper said he didn't need one

I'm really confused by the video. If he completed the lease term, why is there a remarketing fee? My answer would be to pound sand and I'll see you in court.

Yep, that's BS for sure but I bet that driver waiting was happy. Had you refused he might of waited a few more hours.

How does that work? Company drivers can just roam around looking for empties on their own? I've never been company here so I have no idea.

    Example 2.
When leaving the house box claims the closest empty is 78 miles oor to my next load. I know this is not right and go to a receiver who has empties lined up on a public street for know where else to put them. They only receive never ship. Nothing but empties. Call in was told I can't take one. They proceed to send me to a desolate facility that has a lonely empty that SNI needed moved and back in the pool but would never consider paying a company driver to go fetch. Cheaper to pay me fifty. 3 hours,15 gallons, and some of the worst goat paths you have ever seen. You want more examples.
