Have you never been west on 80 before? Dude, you are in for a beautiful ride. I love the scenery, Varied, vast and barren in a lot of places.

Furthest I've gone on 80 is about 3/4s of 80 into Nebraska.

I've made it out to cali twice but socal. I've played in the desert a bit tho. I found that I like Albuquerque haha (there's a cool vape shop walking distance from the ta)

That is one thing I can say I liked about swift. They got me around. (To bad it was all on my mentors truck. Once I went solo I haven't been west I st Louis)

There really aren't that many great truckstops in Wyoming. There is a Little America on the west side of the state, I forget the exit number that is pretty good but most are pretty generic and on the smaller side.

Make sure you leave SLC during the day as the Salt Flats are pretty cool to see. Nevada has some decent stops and they all have casinos in them. Get fuel in either Fernley or Reno because there isn't much after that. Nevada is also very hilly, lots of pulls through there but nothing dangerous really.

Once your over Donner there are very few truckstops and they are all busy. You have to pay at the Niner but it's not too terrible.

Yeah, that was a pretty stupid comment on my part... Considering the purpose of the post in the first place... LOL

Your destination is basically San Jose, I would recommend running the 5 South to 280 which runs into 580. That way you can get some fuel and avoid some of the traffic. There is no way to avoid it all unless you run through there in the very early morning. It's not as bad as L. A but still fairly wicked. There won't be many places to park once you hit 280 so make your decision to go in wisely.
