Thunder Valley is a real casino, unlike most of the ones you see in NM, AZ, OK, etc. It's nice and outside of Vegas, Reno, and maybe Laughlin, it's one of the best you'll find on the west coast. They have an outdoor concert venue as well on-site that attracts some really big names during the milder months. Sat in my truck and listened to Huey Lewis last summer :)

Using Eagle Mountain as a example it's 8 to 10 mph for 80K I think that one is 7% Allegheny in PA tunnel is 5% 7 miles one way (Eastbound?) and I think that one was full jake in top 6th of 9 rockwell all the way down around 40 or so.

Give me a grain of salt on those numbers, I have always tried to run a hill on the jake with cold brakes untouched as a back up so it will vary. Black mountain is really easy. they demand a 30 mph all the way down, we start off at 10 loaded up top. Cabbage is one of my favorites. I think Scottie has a video he made of it maybe. Someone here does who did it right.

    YUM.

Anyhow... Sapp bros in Cheyenne... whoo... is it bad I should plan a trip there just for a freaking meal?

    Anyway.

Got caught up on winter storm reggie. I80 between Delaware and roughly Gary will be hit, It's snowing state college and west to Ohio right now, they expect a foot at the 80/81 area within 24 hours and higher amounts in spots.

Buffalo has nothing. Chicago has storm number two coming in time. Storm number three is forming and will come into Iowa behind that one. Prepare for battle until Desmoines.

Arkansas where we are, we just planted some food plants for summer guess what we severe storms tonight then ice then snow saturday then worse ice into sunday. It's freaking craaazy. So Memphis pure ice after the rains and snow passes through. ugh. Kill our plants before they have a chance to seed. But I guess at a 1.00 a bag we go back and get more.

Yeah, I try to drive the same way. I burn the same amount of fuel no matter how fast I descend a hill, so I might as well do it safely instead of trying to save a minute or two. Plus it saves my brake pads. Unless I'm holding up traffic, I enter it slow and hold a speed until the end, then I let it coast to the speed limit at the bottom and set the cruise back on.

Good places with big parking lots in Wyoming on 80 are TA in Cheyenne (exit 377), TA in Rawlins,WY, Little America, and TA around exit 20(I forget exactly). Also Wyoming is good to have good parking area spots every so often so you really should have no problem with a parking spot in Wyoming should you need to.

Also, don't panic when you get called in at Wyoming Ports of entry (Their version of a weigh station). They call almost everyone in and 99% of the time they just want to see your truck registration and IFTA license, so make sure you have that handy. They will also ask what you are hauling and where you are going.

Get to Los Gatos before 5 AM or after 830-9 PM. I run the Bay Area everyday. Traffic sucks.

Also HWY 17 in the Santa Cruz mountains has been sporadically closed due to mudslides. From the South you can take HWY 1 up to 17 but since you'll be coming from the East, you'll likely take 280 to 17. Whatever time you choose, plan on getting there earlier than your appointment.

If I remember Sheridan, there is a truckstop there which is literally 20 seconds walk across the street from a POE in wyoming. It's always for us a corundum to stop there or not when we needed the truckstop services one time or another. They were always pretty good about it though.
