Now, gentlemen, I need to research what sort of filter I need to keep my aquarium on the up-and-up as my current (junker) is dying.

    Good luck out there!
Keep easing out in 4th! :D

Under gravel set up does the best to mimic real life, clean gravel bed once a month only dropping water no more than 25%

    Lol easier out in 2nd

Rain water is best, stay away from chemicals.

    Depends on the bio-load.
I'd dig an under-gravel filter, even a canister filter (actually I'd like to go legit PLANTED tank), but I'm working with a hang on... It's small - all I have time for, but their lives are important to me.... so I look after them.

Sunday I go back to moving 71k in a tank..... I'll take off in 3rd.... *being complaining!* Lol.

I use to keep 10 pounds of minnows in a tank with undergavel and a power pump hooked to it for circulation with no chemicals and had the hardest minnows for miles.

14 to 18 dozen per pound.

If your having trouble one make sure your not taking off in to high a gear... Second ease off the clutch when it starts pulling you can feel the frame flex under you let off brake then continue easing off the clutch... If you need to use 1st gear or low depending on transmission...

4th what the ####... I'm sorry your instructor or examiner is an idiot unless you in something like an 18speed (never driven over a 13 my self so not sure if 4th would be an acceptable gear to start even then)
