As much money as they possibly can to make the IPO look good, so they can mop up as many millions as they can upon launch. The better the bottom line, the higher the IPO price.

    Read familiar?

"Your business counts on you to step up and get the job done. No one has more ability to help you win every day than Schneider."

    Lies...lies...lies...

I've been a part of three IPOs ... Schnieder's actions aren't those of a company positioning themselves for an IPO ... they act like a company positioning themselves for sale.

I too was part of grooming a company for IPO. SNI actions are not conducive of a company preparing for initial public offering - regardless announcement made a few months back. Au contraire ...

My thoughts are that the numbers didn't look as good as they should, and they are doing everything possible to improve them. Good numbers and climbing revenue and net will increase the inital opening price, and help the price rise more over the next week.

I would guess those in charge may be wanting to take all they can off the table during the IPO, then possibly hope for a takeover later on. The only way to do that is with good numbers that keep looking better as time goes on. The fastest way to make those numbers look good is to do it off the backs of the workers, and to lay off office staff.

My first year here I saw nearly no rate cuts.. at least in the area I ran in.
The Schneider contract freight was consistent and was a huge positive which I brought up a lot on this thread.
My second year here as time went on it became the norm to spot a rate cut every week. Oh yeah and no I'm not talking about FSC, I'm talking the linehaul.
I also noticed the high paying high service loads were becoming fewer and fewer.
Now over the past few months I've been noticing rate cuts nearly on a daily basis. Not only that but it's been months since I've pulled a high service load that required a 3 way call. In other words either we've lost all those loads or they're hiding them for the company trucks.
Yes in part it is greed but also many ICs in their efforts to book any high paying load in .0001 seconds regardless of if they can make it on time or not has not helped the cause. My ICA today told me he just supposedly terminated an IC for too many service failures and service failures in part is a big reason why we've been losing freight.

Schneider has been cutting OUR rates (not so much the customers rates which is a different story) and lowering the bar on whom they bring onto the program.
In part they have to keep the bar low because they keep cutting the rates lower and lower rates.
The smart drivers that have their sheet together won't put up with it endlessly.
As I read somewhere before this is becoming if not has already become "Swift choice".
Yeah one can still do well here if they put the work and time in but it's become obvious the direction Schneider is taking this program, it's a direction @TennMan tried to warn us when nobody was listening.
Well it's here now and I don't see it getting any better.
