Probably going to crack down on that more now.

Anyone coming into this area should plan on parking elsewhere.

It has happened a few times with deadly results. They haven't cracked down enough but I agree they should. Problem is there isn't enough parking for all the truck traffic in and out of northeast. Sad

    Flashdrive7 and Lepton1 Thank this.

They need to fix the parking problem in new jersey. Nobody wants a truck stop in their area.

I hate NJ more than any other State. There is obviously an inherent problem when you have to pay to leave a State. You always pay the toll on the way out.

I've made it a rule of mine not to park on the side of the rd. Even for p breaks it can be scary. One time I try to do a favor and get as close to a shipper as possible and what do ya know. I'm out of hrs on the side of 278 in NJ. I was well off the rd and my rig was still rocking back and forth as trucks whizzed by. Needless to say I didn't sleep well that night. Very dangerous practice and if by some chance it ever happens again, I'll be calling a taxi or Uber to go to a hotel until morning.

No link, no story, no article, no media no nothing. Maybe you saw it. But there is nothing to collaborate on.

Let me tell you a secret. They have been cracking down 50 plus years on that road and others.

I hope they do crack down on this practice. All states should strictly enforce the law that unless in emergency there is no stopping on shoulders of Interstates. Had a Crosby truck out of Mt. Sidney, Va parked on 1-81 Sat. afternoon, he pulled directly out from the shoulder. He did not merge in, he did not try to get his speed up before coming back on the Interstate., he just turned it left and came out in front of traffic, vehicls scrambled to avoid a major multi-vehicle accident all because of a stupid driver.

Had a guy do that in front of me on 95 just north of Richmond a couple weeks ago. Had about 300 feet to go from 60 in right lane to 30 in middle lane. Guy didn't even use his turn signal.

I have come to the conclusion that 50 to 75% of the drivers today are a bunch of "#######" and I can name the companies that are hiring these "#######", but I don't have time today because in a couple of hours I need to do a job. The list is long and long and longer.--LOL
