Short of having an APU or something like it.
Having a good big inverter is a wonderful thing.
3000 watts or better. sure will run a number of things.Airborne, Broke Down 69 and spyder7723 Thank this. -
Preparing food in the truck is good. It's particularly good to have the ability to do it, and the stuff to do it with. But I'm also in the crowd that says ya gotta get out of the truck and have a sit down meal at a restaurant once in a while. If for no other reason, than to see a smiling face, even if it is a forced professional smile to get a bigger tip.
The other thing that kept me sane while out there, was that there was never a 24 hour period went by when I didn't talk to my wife, nor more than a week without talking to my kids.Broke Down 69, BoostedTeg, cke and 2 others Thank this. -

When ever possible, the independents was where I tried to spend my money and time. Yep had to fuel at the chains, used what services was needed and moved on if at all possible. Some places, you just have no choice. then I try to find good rest areas or good hiding spots.
Airborne and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
