The amount of time since last test is not that important. You would need to factor in lifestyle changes since you first tested negative.
If you want an inexpensive tool to give you a good idea whether or not you may have sleep apnea, you can use a wearable pulse oximeter while you sleep. If your blood oxygen levels are dropping below 88%, especially for long periods of time, then it would be a good idea to see your doctor and consider a sleep study to confirm. Anyone with sleep apnea will see their blood oxygen levels drop while they sleep. The more severe the apnea, the lower the blood oxygen levels will go. Hypoxia of your body tissue occurs when your blood oxygen levels remain below 88%. Over time, this can cause major irreparable harm to major body organs, especially to the heart, which has to work harder due to lower blood oxygen levels.
Here is a link to a device I recommend. Besides using for symptoms of sleep apnea, it can help determine other underlying medical problems at an early stage as well.
