I'm thinking back to my first days driving... manual crank windows, manual tuning radio, clock had to be worn on my wrist, had to shift it manually, no cruise control, lucky to have AC when needed, no cab air ride, and dark cabin was normal.

Man, times sure are tough these days. LOL!

Don't forget the days before air dryers, when anything that used air had a nice greasy oily plume around the exhaust port. Going into the dash on one of them was about as messy as running the overhead.

Yeah, didn't have to worry about the keeping the dash cleaned off, 'cause nothing was staying up there anyways!

According to schneider shop that's actually exactly what's required to change the clock. Reprogram the ecm. And they said they wouldn't do it. So, I'm running around on Honolulu time.

    Lepton1 and bzinger Thank this.

I remember my first trip in that '79 Freightshaker COE. I made it about halfway to St Louis from Gary, IN--unable to keep an even throttle, it rode so bad--thinking, "whatever in the hell made me think I wanted to drive a truck?"
