Spell Check - USE it!

One of my jobs is grading the High School Exit Exam. Here is a formal essay that kids must pass in order to graduate, and they write like they are texting. Argh!!!!!! I just want to automatically fail any paper that I read with text in it. Since I have (or had) one foot in junior high, I usually can read it, but that is beside the point.

 

I text but I don't type out like I'm texting I like to be proper and look smart! I don't want to look like a young idiot. No my Business Tech teacher told me it's 2 spaces after a period not 1. To each their own I'm not gonna argue cause ya know what we all can agree to disagree.

 

I am going to form a new political party, our Platform will be that the only correct way to type is to use ONE SPACE after a period...

People using 2 spaces will be called out as liars, anti-American, Al-Queda sympathizers, with a Socialist Agenda. Plus, they don't like Apple Pie OR Chevrolet's!!!

Well I use 2 spaces, don't lie, and am patriotic, anti-Al-Qaeda, anti-socialist and love apple pie; preferably served warm with vanilla ice cream. However, I do like a Ford over a Chevy.

As to using spell check: it's my friend. I'm the world's worst speller and try to always check before posting. If I don't, I can guarantee there'll be something misspelled and I'll have to go back and edit.

I'm sorry but that is just plain WRONG! Everybody who is ANYBODY, particularly from the Great State of TEXAS knows that you use cheese melted on apple pie! Ice cream is for Cherry Pie, and it can be either vanilla or chocolate!

Melted cheese on apple pie? I've never heard of such a thing... (honestly!)

Truth be told, though, I prefer apple crisp to apple pie.
