we have a lot of givebacks to go to get down to where a lot of local non union companies are at, we SHOULD be turning away a lot of people otherwise we end up with the short bus crew.

The new guy
Don't let the giveback scare you, yes sucks , company is not going anywhere
Insurance is not as good as it once was but it's company paid & #### good overall, don't overly concern yourself with hog board issues
Wheel board sucks & seems appealing at first but once you have some time you won't like it
I've been here 30 yrs & was with roadway 2 yrs
It's still a good job & pays well & as long as they're using shiny wheels you may fall into the position on the board even as a new hire to be considered red circle protected so if you don't work you file for your 4 week average & you will usually get paid the difference if any shiny wheels went through your barn the company has paid out thousands & even if you don't work but are available you have insurance
As for the guy that talked about severance neither company has ever done that unless you are management -
Friend o' mine just got his first paycheck from YRC.
Take home $780.00 for 50+ hours.
I wouldn't call that good pay.bzinger Thanks this. -
Before our April 1 increase
My dad started here a little over a year ago his average was $13-1500, I run a bid that's 3336 miles there have been many weeks he's made more than I have with clock time he's made $21-2300, when you start if you're having trouble getting out or better runs ask each place to keep you out & you'll make better $ it's a little more of a sacrifice but sometimes you have to do what you have to good luck -
Can anyone elaborate on the Combo dock/driver gig for yrc? I've got a phone interview for the OKC terminal tomorrow morning. I understand it's dock work and driving, just wondering if it's More of one than the other.

A local city driver their in OKC can tell you. Just depends on how short drivers they are at that location.
