Yeah, I drove for them a few years back. Started in autos and then went to a 10. I knew they would be phasing out the 10s. Alot of drivers couldnt handle it. Im sure if the op explained his situation they would be accomedating.

Yes, fridges and 1800w inverters. The idle restriction between 28 and 65f can be a pain at times as obviously anything running off the inverter with engine off will drain the batteries and switch off when volts get too low.

Use the search function. There was a thread with a lengthy list.

When I left Con-Way Truckload(Now CFI again), they had been ordering exclusively automatics for the last 2-3 years. They still had manuals if you were in an older truck like mine. But they weren't going to order anymore manuals.

They were a great company to work for. I enjoyed my time with them and made some great friends there. Also they dropped the experience requirement years ago. So even if you're new to the industry you could apply over there. Not sure how much experience you have.

Other than the driver facing cameras that you guys have, it would be a great choice.

It's a deal breaker for many people, but I don't even notice it any more. I used to make sure to close the wrap around curtains to cover it when parked, but really dont care now. If someone wants to watch me get changed into my Jammies more power to them.

I don't text or do anything like that while driving so it's not an issue for me then either. I did have a hard braking incident once where Safety called me in and showed me the report from the monitoring people but it was no big deal. I was at fault and I knew it at the time of the incident so there was no need for any drama. Just acknowledged what happened and moved on with life.

It has gone off many times since then when hitting bumps in road or a dock, or even a sharp swerve to avoid a car cutting in front of me, but heard nothing from Safety about those, so it's definitely a case of the monitoring company flagging particular "at fault" incidents that gets sent to safety.

    Thanks for the info folks!

Yea flatbed is sorta not an option. The back isn't too bad unless I lift wrong or bend over too long. I've been driving fire trucks and ambulances all day and it's no problem but they're autos. I tried driving an older pumper w/ a standard and after 30 minutes I wanted to cut my left leg off with a chainsaw and it felt like my lower back was on fire.

The sad part is I think driving standard is a lot of fun and I love to do it but there's no way I could and make a living.
