I have to stand with Ridgeline.

You appear to be exceptionally willing to solve problems. Start off by doing nothing illegal. Your CDL is the most important resource you might ever have in this life. Keep it protected.

I think you are being used. Trainer sleeps while you make delivery? I don't think so. Driving while tired? Worse than driving drunk. And some other things too.

I would like to see you in a structured training environment, not a full team driver carrying the world on your shoulders. You are not ready for that. You came here with a problem and it turned out to be systematic problems plural against the O/O you are with and with Werner who allowed O/O to take on the risk, liability and loss of miles etc training a trainee. Possibly for money in large amounts.

I was a trainee once. My Trainer called me a pup on our second week. Sure I could unload the bulk tanker or drive the pete etc. But I was a pup. Literallly a puppy knowing nothing and needing teaching. Even today Im still learning where possible if that make sense. We are here to help you. Not break you down or beat you up.

There are many issues here, we need to get you to start working on them to make your working situation way better than it is now.

I want it to be known im not trying to be argumentative or claim that i know it all. Im certainly not in my best place to articulate everything properly after a night of no sleep.

I have already managed to get off the truck and am waiting for my next set of instructions from higher up.

The trainer gave me above average marks on most everything so im hoping that will speed up the training process. I learn by doing. Watching somebody else do something doesnt really help me.

Thank you all for the exceptional help and advice. I would probably still be with him and risking my career if not for the suggestions here.

What your student manager will do is give you another trainer, make this one last.

I would wager that you're also not trying to be a problem child or stir up animosity towards yourself at the company you plan to spend some amount of time at. That's fair. There's a line there somewhere, but its a pretty common theme at these training companies for new people to go through multiple trainers during the process because of issues similar to what you're going through. You ain't breaking the mold by speaking up

The way I see it, it's the "275" that's the problem, not the driver. Some guys need 0, while some may need 275, or even 575, to prove themselves. There needs to be some common sense (so lacking in the modern age) when it comes to a training regime, not a rigid # one size fits all, problem is, on a mega that'd be hard to achieve. But it's their rules you gotta roll with, so, one either sticks it out, or finds another carrier. My advice would be to express your concerns to the right people and don't bash your trainer(s). Try and get it resolved amicably first, but if not, I'd suck it up, finish as required, and see how it goes for a while, good luck....

Next time someone says for you to do something illegal.. Don't do it. Dig in. It's the one biggest thing you can do to be nice to everyone inside your company top to bottom. The minute you display a running illegally, your dispatch will abuse you until you either get caught, wreck or quit. Or get sick then get late and fired etc.

Your first year is so important in keeping out of trouble. If you managed that and like your people well enough to stick it out two years, you can understand that you will write a golden ticket to anyone to hire you in this Industry.

I very much agree on the hours, everyone advances at a different pace and it could take a long time before reaching that number of hrs but it is what what it is.Werner doesn't change much in policies.Back in 2002 it was 275 hrs.

Two trainers, and problems with both. It could, or might not be the trainers who are the problem.
Sounds to me like he just wants his own truck after 100 hrs.
A third trainer might not even work for this OP.
