There are local gigs hiding out there. I've made more in the last 2 weeks staying in town than I did in my last month with Schneider. Adjusting to not being OTR is kinda weird after several years, though. I've been slowly handing out the last of my Schneider supplies at the train yard to the Schneider intermodal guys.

I'm staying at my 2nd stop tonight in the alley next to it. At least until something better opens up. I've already been here for 7 hours anyway. I have a relay I have to pickup in Kearny whenever I leave out of here but at least the crazies will all be home in bed by then.
Sipesh Thanks this. -
I did the Schneider orientation but not the. "Actual" site specific one. That is until today. Good thing is I'm done early enough that I'm going home tonight.....hopefully my mad Viking beard balm came in -

I get to my 8am appt at my customer in Billings. I notice another tanker guy there, which was weird, because they don't allow anyone in their yard before 8am,,,whatever. I go in, check in, and go back out and wait by the scale to weigh in. The the customer cones out grabs the other driver, scales him in and takes him to the area that I unload at.
I'm irritated, but this is one of my favorite customers and they only unload out of sequence if there is an issue. Hour and a half later, the guy is unloaded and scaled out and they approach me.
"We have an issue. The guy who just unloaded was supposed to be here yesterday and he was supposed to take your load and take it to Williston after he got a tankwash. So you're going to have to take it up there because he can't make it today.
Ok,,,,,,why didn't you tell me that when I showed up at 8? I can't make it there today either now. They're an hour ahead.
So I sitting 80 Mile's away at the Town pump, listening to every idiot with a set of straight pipes Jake brake through the parking lot.
